I've received a lot of input on the story, and it seems that the transition is rather unclear to you readers.
As a result I've made an addition to the story that goes into the very beginning.
Blogger doesn't allow me to create a retroactive post, so I've changed the prologue to have this addition come first in the finished chapters, but I'll have to post the addition chronologically as a chunk.
Hence this part of the story looks like it comes very late in the story if you read it post by post. Sorry about that.
